Welcome with skis on your feet. The chalet "1898" is nestled in the small hamlet of Désert d'en Haut at the edge of the slopes. It was rebuilt stone by stone in 2017 with great attention to detail by the craftsmen of the valley. It combines traditional architecture, contemporary aesthetic quality and high-quality furnishings. The chalet is officially classified as 4-star accommodation. With three beautiful bedrooms and a mezzanine, this spacious and comfortable 120 m2 chalet can accommodate up to 10 people. The large living room around the stove, the kitchen, two bathrooms, a separate toilet and an additional eat-in kitchen make it a very pleasant place to stay where you don't step on your toes. From the balcony or the windows you have a beautiful view of the Neuvache valley.
The "1898" is a large detached chalet, completely renovated in 2017 and tastefully and comfortably furnished. It is organised on three levels with a large living room and wood-burning stove, three bedrooms and a mezzanine with very comfortable beds, two large bathrooms, a separate WC, a well-equipped kitchen, a hamam and two very sunny terraces and a balcony. Bed linen, duvets, towels and a cleaning service are included in the rental price.

- Accessibility :The chalet is non-smoking. Animals are not admitted. Regrettably, the chalet is not accessible to people with reduced mobility and not recommended for small children able to walk.
St-Michel/Valloire station, 16 km from the chalet, is served by TGV during the winter season. The TGV stations of Modane and St-Jean de Maurienne are 30 km away. Shuttle buses (www.altibus.com) to the ski resort with stop "Maison de Valmeinier", or taxi to the ski bridge. Afterwards, access to the chalets is possible on foot via a gently descending slope/path (400m). Directly by motorway, Valmeinier is 660 km from Paris, 200 km from Lyon and 875 km from Brussels. Exit no. 29 St-Michel de Maurienne of the A43 motorway is 16 km from Valmeinier 1800. Park in the car park of the 1800 station, just after the ski bridge. Walk onto the ski slope that runs along the car park from the bridge. Access to the chalets is on foot via a slightly descending slope/path (400 m).
